Day Thirteen Pictures
Washington, D.C.

Just so we could make this "educational" in some way...

*grin*

We hit Washington at what we hear is it's most beautiful time of year...

While the cherry trees are in bloom

(These next shots are taken out of the sequence in which they were filmed for the dramatic effect....)

The Washingtom Monument looked big from the Lincoln Monument

Bigger from the parking lot we found space in

But REALLY huge close up!

Of course, we walked to the other end of the reflection pond...

To see Lincoln up close:

And, before we left, we had to see The Wall......

But before we started down the Wall...

(sorry for the pixiliation)

We paused for a quiet moment by the statue honoring those who served

And although this shot isn't that great, we were deeply moved by all the names.....

VERY sobering.......

Of course, we HAD to get a look at the White House before leaving Washington.....

But we were getting MIGHTY tired of being on vacation by this point......

(Just as YOU must be getting tired of the story right now...)
